NUJUM SPORTS PARTNERS WITH ITIA

Nujum Sports is pleased to announce a partnership with the International Tennis Integrity Association (ITIA), aimed at fostering a greater understanding of the Muslim faith and the needs of Muslim players and colleagues.

The ITIA oversees anti-doping and anti-corruption programmes for its members’ tennis events across the world, including the Grand Slam tournaments and ATP, WTA and ITF competitions.

As part of this partnership, Nujum Sports delivered education and training to the ITIA workforce, offering guidance and fostering discussion around key considerations for the ITIA when engaging with Muslim athletes.

By leveraging Nujum Sports’ expertise and insights, the ITIA further informs its equality, diversity and inclusion practices and ensures staff have a strong understanding of the diverse range of cultures and practices present across a global sport and within its workforce.

Ebadur Rahman, Founder and CEO of Nujum Sports, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “At Nujum Sports, we are dedicated to fostering inclusivity and representation across all levels of sport. We are thrilled to partner with the ITIA to promote Muslim inclusion and ensure that every individual feels valued and respected within the sport they love.”

Karen Moorhouse, CEO of the ITIA, said: “The training delivered by Ebs, Jameel and Nujum Sports was excellent – both informative and thought-provoking – and supports the ITIA’s understanding of the Muslim faith and how that intersects with our work.

“One of the ITIA’s values is to be Approachable, and we want players to feel comfortable speaking to us – whether it’s to seek guidance, clarification of the rules, or report corrupt approaches. Being informed about all faiths and cultural practices is a key part of that
